This is my attempt to add render and texture to my sequence sketch from last Monday's lesson in Photoshop Elements. . I used various techniques - including scanning newspaper print to get a texture of the ground and using squares cut from a photo to get the planting. The rest I colour filled from the photoshop colour palette.
sue this is great i love it!! well done i think youve hit the nail on the head here!!

Thanks Adele! I still think hand rendering is best. For me anyway. But it was quite simple. I found it easier to flatten the image at every stage that I got to that I was happy with. Then I put it back into photoshop and worked on it again. Keeping the layers simple each time.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like an old fashioned screen print. Did you know that I have an o'level in screen printing? Back in the day......
Ah ye, those were the days, that was the only printing around non of this mechanical rubbish!
ReplyDeleteReally like what you have done. Not even started yet, client work need to earn money.
Wondering what SY will come up with???
Very effective! Any photos of your Greenwich model?
ReplyDeleteThanks!
ReplyDeleteAlick has them on his Apple Book - I'll give him a nudge to put them up. I forgot to put the memory card back in my camera after the Greenwich visit. So I was about as effective as using our eggbox camera!
I think it is really good!!!
